Must see sunsets around the world

This week at GuestToGuest, we have been enjoying the sun, so we decided to make a list of 10 of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. There’s nothing quite like relaxing in front of a beautiful skyline, the perfect end to any day. You certainly wont be dissappointed with our selection, or the accompanying photos!

1. Kusadasi, Turkey

Kusadasi in Turkey has some of the most beautiful sunsets and provides a picturesque backdrop during a relaxing evening by the sea. With a street of bars and restaurants stretching along the coastline, its the perfect place to sit and appreciate the view, which also has the Greek island of Samos visible in the distance.

2. Rainbow Bay, Gold Coast, Queensland Australia

If you only go to one place on the Gold Coast for drinks at sunset, this is the place to go! There are incredible sunset views all the way up the coast, but Rainbow Bay is particularly special. The Rainbow Bay Surf Club provides somewhere to sit, relax and appreciate the spectaclular horizon!

3. Mount Haleakala, Hawaii

The stunning sunsets from Mount Halekala in Hawaii are a must-see when in the area. There are plenty of coach tours that allow you to capture the magical night sky as you ascend the mountain, and after creating some memories, the tours include a three course meal of culinary delight at one of Maui’s most famous restaurants. The perfect way to spend an evening!

4. Fjord du Saguenay, Québec, Canada

Who has not dreamed of visiting the land of Quebec? The Saguenay Fjord is beautiful with its coves, beautiful nature, different activities you can do and the generosity of the people of Quebec. The Petit Saguenay where one can observe a magnificent sunset, right in the axis of the Fjord. A change of scenery!

5. Oia, Santorini, Greece

Moving on to Greece now – a cliff from 80m to 100m high which overlaps the geological layers of black ash, with a white village perched at the top – Santorini! Lulled by gentle evening lights that reflect off the white houses of this beautiful village. This dreamy landscape is simply breathtaking.

6. Angkor Vat,Cambodia

We are amazed by the beauty of the Khmer temples under a blazing sunset and we witness one of the finest views with this striking mirror effect!

7. El Nido, Palawan, Philippines

El Nido is one of the most impressive islands not only in the Philippines but worldwide. If you have the opportunity to visit you can contemplate one of the most magical sunsets in the world. From any of the islands, you’ll see the turquoise sea water as it becomes silver and the sky becoming a color that can only be found in this part of the world. Silhouettes of the different islands and the golden color of the sky will make you fall in love with El Nido.

8. Kanawa, Komodo, Indonesia

It seems incredible that the sky can be this color, does not it? We assure you that on this island, it is! The region offers komodo dragons, each with spectacular sunset views like this. Sometimes, as in this photo orange, the sky can turn colours of fuchsia and sometimes electric blue, definitely a place you want to see at nightfall!

9. Finisterre, Galicia, Spain

In the place where the land ended (in the days when the world was flat) you can enjoy a wonderful sunset. Seeing the sun disappear into the Atlantic ocean is one of the best ways to end the day and start the evening. Alone or accompanied you can always enjoy the company of the many pilgrims who regularly visit the area.

10. Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen is known around the world for its bright colors thanks to this beautiful sunset. At the forefront of design, the mix of modernity and tradition is perfection. A city that does not have cold eyes and that gives us heat via its colors even during the long, cold winter!
