Here are some of the cheapest countries in the world to visit!

GuestToGuest promotes free home exchange, so we decided this week to match your future free home exchanges with cheap (sorry, unfortunately not free) holiday destinations with the hopes of enticing you to some of these countries! Low cost airlines are nowadays far more dominant in the airline industry and it is becoming easier to travel all over the world at very little cost. We have chosen 5 countries which will promise a low priced holiday experience, with the same (if not better) cuisine, culture and more than the usual holiday destinations. Let’s start!

1. Hungary

hungary

Hungary attracts almost 10.2 million tourists every year, the country where the Rubix Cube was invented, is it any wonder it’s such a desirable holiday location? Budapest is thought to be one of the cheapest capital cities in Europe, a sure way to attract visitors. Indulge in the many delicious cakes, try some of their strong liquor or relax to the utmost at the famous thermal spas. You can get a three course meal for £7.50 and train tickets for £1, you couldn’t find better value for money!

2. Bulgaria

The Black Sea Coast in Bulgaria has been a tourist hot-spot for many years, probably because it is a bargain compared to holiday resorts in the likes of Spain, Portugal etc. If you’re more interested in a city break, the city of Sofia lies in a peninsula, it’s beautiful and definitely worth the visit! This cheap spot has prices ranging from a meal at a resaurant for £4.50 and bus tickets £0.50 – you wouldn’t see prices that low in a lot of places!

The Republic of Costa Rica, in Central America, is fast becoming a popular destination for people when holidaying. If you’re interested in never-ending activities, gorgeous beaches, a plethora of wildlife, food, and nice people, then this may be the ideal place to spend your next vacation. Living on £25 a day is not hard in this part of the world, and though it may be considered expensive relative to geographic location, it remains one of the cheapest holiday destinations with the scenery and wildlife (among others) certainly making for a memorable trip.
