Discover the french culture in North America by discovering Quebec City! Founded in 1608, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Quebec is a city filled with history, which is distinguished by its architecture, its culture and the fact that it is the first French-speaking city in North America. It was the meeting place between the Native Americans, the French and English there are more that 400 years.
Our neighborhood is great! You can, by bus (bus stop is 200 feet from our house) on bike or by foot, discover Quebec (ex: historic tours, museums, theaters, restaurants, etc..). Quebec is a lively city with its summer Festival d'été de Québec (which offers diverse live music outdoors), the Cirque du Soleil, Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France, etc.. At any time, you can discover the Château Frontenac, the Petit Champlain, Place Royale or the Quebec Aquarium! Our house is really WELL LOCATED!! We are really close to downtown and Old-Québec, as well as many park or walks are also close to our house (between 5 and 15 minutes walk), such as the historic Plains of Abraham, the Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge and promenage Samuel de Champlain. These parks provide access or view on the stunning St Lawrence river and are ideal for cycling, walking, jogging or picnic during the summer; when you can go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or drag in winter. Moreover, you can do everything on foot from our home because there are many shops and services nearby: heated swimming pool, tennis courts, skating rinks, grocery, bakery, pharmacy, medical clinic, fruit store, library, ice cream, restaurants, etc.. That's city life surrounded by nature!
