Description

Lee has described his/her home in English.

What you will love about this home

The home was originally a farmhouse and still sits on 1/2 acre of land. The yard is fenced and has many of the original trees, lilac bushes and flowers. The house was built around the 1900s and the
parlor is authentic late 1800s with dark red walls and tall ceilings. The house is never hot or cold, as it has the original lath and plaster walls. A fresh breeze from the Sound keeps the air fresh
and it’s a very short walk to the marina and Puget Sound. It’s just a few minutes from the airport and main freeways that take you into Seattle. The bus runs right past the house, but the area is
residential. The town of Des Moines is only three blocks away, where there are restaurants and many other businesses.

What you will love in the neighborhood

The marina has a nice boardwalk to walk along and catch some sea air.

The Des Moines Park is a long, winding path covered in trees and a babbling stream that runs the whole length.

The yard is large and pretty private. It’s been a safe area.

Additional information

The home actually has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, but there is only one bedroom and bathroom that’s available for guests. The basement is rented out and a section of the house has been divided
into an apartment. The area to exchange is large, but private and has a piano, lace curtained windows and a nice enclosed porch to have coffee and read the morning paper. It’s only 20 minutes to
drive to downtown Seattle or the bus will get you there in 40 minutes.
