What you will love about this home

Traditional 1930’s stone house in Rennes, in the lovely and peaceful area of Jeanne d’Arc. A delightful and large garden, with its typical early-20th-century palm tree, provides an unique charm in the heart of the city.

A contemporary extension built in 2011, offering large volumes and a beautiful view onto the garden, fits seamlessly into the older part of the house. It brings a modern and cocooning touch to the building. The numerous rooms are spacious and luminous to the delight of our large family !

Offering a living area of 250 sq.m, 6 bedrooms including a master suite with private bathroom (Italian shower), 1 office with iMac at garden level, 2 other bathrooms, 2 separated toilets, 1 playroom at the top of the extension with a great view onto the garden, a large US kitchen opened onto a large 40 sq.m living room with a wood stove for winter evenings, a dining room, a multimedia room with large flat screen TV, Blu-ray and PS3 game console, laundry, garage, an outdoor terrace with a Weber barbecue, a garden and bicycle shelters.

Close to all shops and transport (100m), the house is ideally located to enjoy the city and its numerous local parks.

Rennes, the capital of Brittany, is a very pleasant place to live in and to discover, especially for its history and architectural heritage ( half-timbered houses, medieval cobblestone streets, the Parliament of Brittany, …) and its famous “Marché des Lices”, one of France’s largest public markets where local organic producers gather to fish, seafood, vegetables, fruits,..and breton specialities every week. A Must-See !

From its central position, Rennes is less than an hour away from many touristic destinations : to enjoy the sea (St Malo, St Briac, Dinard, Cancale,..) , the wonder of Mont-Saint-Michel, Morbihan gulf, La Baule, Dinan, Brocéliande, Vannes,…
You could also visit the Peace Memorial at Caen and the sites of the Normandy landings (D-Day).

And only 2 hours for Paris by train (TGV), it will give you the opportunity to visit the capital of France and its wonders.

What you will love in the neighborhood

The area of Jeanne d’Arc is a very popular Rennes neighborhood for its quality of life, its ancient housings and its numerous local parks (“Parc du Thabor” and its rose garden, “Parc Obertur” and “Parc de Maurepas” for families, “Parc des Gayeulles” for its pond and outdoor jogging circuit.

Very closed to all facilities (bakeries, fishermonger, butcher, supermarkets,…) and public transport. A bicycle sharing system is also available just 100 m away but we provide you with our 6 bicycles (2 adult, 2 teen and 2 child bikes). You could also use our BMX and freestyle scooter for the ones of you who like doing sport a lot.

Do not forget our local public market, every Thursday, just behind our house, a delightful moment to share with your family and meet local producers and eat a “crêpe” !

At the heart of Brittany is Rennes, the capital city with 450 000 inhabitants managed to preserve its Breton tradition (language, music festivals, cookery,…) During your stay, you could discover the beauty of our region with its numerous coasts with their inimitable charm (St Malo, Dinard, Cancale, Morbihan gulf,…) in both North and the South !
