What you will love about this home
Welcome to our home! It’s located in the heart of the XXe arrondissement of Paris, 8 mins away from the Père Lachaise Cemetery, in a typical Haussmann building from the beginning of the 20th century (old but there’s an elevator!).
The apartment is luminous with its high ceilings. It’s made up of a cosy living room with a sofa bed, a parents bedroom with a 2p bed and a small balcony on the street, a quiet children bedroom with a baby crib and a 1p bed (which can turn up into a bunked bed), a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine, and a small yet convenient equiped kitchen (fridge+freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and other stuff!).
You can easily reach some of the main tourist attaractions or different train stations thanks to metro lines 3 (5min walk from home, gives you access to Opéra Garnier, Gaité Lyrique, Musée des Arts et Métiers, les Grands Magasins, Gare Saint-Lazare) and 11 (metro Jourdain, 12min walk from home, gives you access to Centre Pompidou, Cathedrale Notre Dame, Hôtel de Ville, and gets you close to Le Louvre and Palais Royal), and bus lines 26 (Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord), 96 (goes through le Marais with Musée Picasso and Musée Carnavalet, to Gare Montparnasse), 61 (Jardin des Plantes and Museum d'Histoire Naturelle, Cité de la Mode) and 69 (Musée Rodin, Musée d'Orsay, Jardin des Tuileries, Musée de l'Orangerie and Jeu de Paume).
What you will love in the neighborhood
We live in a typical Paris neighborhood (Ménilmontant), family-oriented with several recreation parks for the kids, but lively thanks to the variety of shops around the apartment : butchery and bakery at the bottom of the building, cheese shop and green grocery across the street, and wine merchants, fish store, florists and other bakeries, butcheries and cheese shops along the street. There are also two markets nearby, opened two mornings a week each, and three supermarkets.
If you want to walk around with you family, have a picnic or go for a jogging session, you can easily reach the parks of Belleville and its incredible point of view (10 min by bus and 15 min by walk) or Buttes Chaumont (10 min by bus and 25 min by walk). Be sure you don’t miss the Mouzaia area if you go to Buttes Chaumont! We also highly recommend you to visit « la Campagne a Paris » and, of course, the Pere Lachaise cemetery.
At night, you can have a nice dinner or enjoy a drink in one of the many bars of the neighborhood (some of them even have a terrace!). The apartment is also less than 10 minutes away from La Bellevilloise and La Maroquinerie if you want to attend a concert.
