What you will love about this home
Yes, the best description of my house is "a garden in the city", even though... there's no garden, but a courtyard where grows a lemon-tree. The house is built around this courtyard, and each room has a window giving onto it, which opens the house to the outside. You can of course get a drink there or have diner, especially as there's a BBQ area. There's one sleeping-room inside the house and another one, smaller, in the courtyard, and you may potentially unfold a futon on the mezzanine if needed.
What you will love in the neighborhood
The neighbourhood is typical of old mediterranean cities, with a lot of old houses and narrow streets, very close to the historical center (5 mn walk), but not right in the center, which enables to take advantage of some quietness, and that's appreciable in july and August.
The two main buildings of Nîmes, the amphitheater and the roman temple, are a ten-minute walk from my house. The "pont du Gard" (roman aqueduc) is located 24 km away, Arles at 33 km, Avignon at 45 km. The mediterranean see is located at 50 km (Grau du Roi or Saintes-Maries de la mer).
