Little house on the Prairie: there is a garden, space and nature
Our home is situated in the calm place near by small forest.
There's also famous park to watch rare birds with in 15 mins of walk.
In summer, you can enjoy picnic in the forest where you can find a lot of black berries :9
In this typical french village, you can find all you need available in walking distance: bread shop freshly baking breads,cinema,restaurants, café, supermarket (5 mins on foot from our house and 3 others less than 5 mins by car), pharmacy and post office and every saturday there's a market where you can buy fresh vegetables, meat, french cheeses among other thing from local producers etc...
There's not so much people manage to speak English so you can try out your French !

And it is about 20 km from Lille the city chosen as European capital city and nearest French big city from UK.
At Lille, you can find many good restaurants, shopping streets and interesting museums to visit, as well as charming cafés,
cinemas, and big park with various kinds of attractions.
Especially in September, there is Europe's biggest FLEA MARKET at Lille , which is very famous.
But there's often a lot of fleamarket everywhere at north of France. I can give you the list if you are interested to find nice and reasonable french souvenirs :)
At north of france, there are many food specialities that you can try out.
Almost every village have french fries stands, so if you
not feel like cooking you can just get those quick food.
People come from everywhere in Europe to buy interesting french items there !
We are about 1 H from the French and Belgian beaches, if you wish to go sea side trip.
You can also visit by car other country like Belgium ( 30 mins ), Brussels ( 40 mins ),
Bruges ( 1 H ), Gent & Antwerp (1½ hours) , Holland ( 2H ) etc...
Nice to taste Belgian chocolate and famous mussel & Fried potatoes :9
You can also go to day trip to Versailles, Paris (1H by train & 2H by car ).
Lille has a direct connection with London via Eurostar (30 minutes),
or you can come from England by ferry ( ferry between : Calais - Dunkerque ).
From Scotland ( ferry between : Scotland-Bruges ).
The nearest airport is Lille (20 minutes/ Ryanair etc) and also Brussels (Charleroi / Ryanair),
if you came by air plane.
There is also Euroline & Eurostar between London - Lille.
