What your guests will love about your home
My house is a little recent holiday home (size : 100 m² - year 2007) located in the South of Brittany, in Western France. Ideal to accomodate up to 4 guests. It's healthy, clear (exposure facing southwest), very quiet, with a beautiful view on the Atlantic Ocean , the sunset and a lighthouse. Terrace and small garden facing south west. One private parking space, one garage (14 m²), possibility of additional car park in the street (little busy). On the ground floor (50 m²): open-plan kitchen, lounge (TV, DVD player) and dining-room, shower-room and toilets. On the first floor (50 m²): three bedrooms (two with sea view), toilets and bathroom. The bedding is new (two 140*190 cm beds and one 90*190 cm bed), parquet flooring in the bedrooms, tiled floor in the other rooms. Pets are not allowed. I leave my house for a minimum of seven days. Sheets and linen are not supplied. My house is let clean, I expect from my guests to return it in the same state. Beaches, port, salt marshes, shops are all within 900 meters.
What your guests will love about your neighborhood
Quaint neighbourhood, green setting, cleared view from the heights of La Turballe, vintage houses. My picturesque street is registered on a hiking route. The old stone church of Trescalan (the oldest district of the village) and the local cinema are at the end of the street.
Beaches, salt marshes (Natura 2000 conservation area), the fishing and sailing ports, the fish market, the pine tree grove on the cape of Pen Bron (Natura 2000), the market (on Wednesday and Saturday mornings), shops and restaurants, all within 5 mn.
L'Etoile bus station and the car pooling area are within walking distance (less than 5 mn). I leave two bikes and hiking maps and guides of La Turballe and its surroundings + board games at your disposal. I also leave the list of the good restaurants of the peninsula (renowned addresses of restaurants opened all year round, serving good food at decent prices).
La Turballe is a rural district (bocage, harvest of salt), a seaside resort and a fishing (bar, hake, coley, etc.) and a sailing port at the same time. Sale of fresh fish and seafood all year long at very interesting prices, accompanied with local Muscadet wine. Ecological interests include birdwatching (seabirds and marsh birds). Among landmarks : old windmills, vestiges of the Atlantic Wall, Breton calvary, springwater fountains, etc. In July and August, boat trips to the islands of Belle-Île-en-Mer, Houat and Hoëdic. The surroundings of La Turballe offer diverse possibilities of visits: the medieval city of Guérande (listed « city of art and history »), the « small cities of character » of Piriac, Batz-sur-Mer, Le Croisic and its wild coast, the seaside resorts of Quimiac, Le Pouliguen and the posh La Baule + the regional natural reserve of Brière are all about a 20 minute drive or less. The exclusive château and golf course of La Breteshe are 30 mn away and Nantes is an hour drive. The place will suit those who look for rest and a change of scenary. Hope to see you soon.
