What your guests will love about your home
We live in this house of the 30's for 5 years. We renovated it (she needed it...), in large part ourselves.
It is spacious (170 sqm), bright and, according to our friends, warm (obviously, they are our friends, they will not say otherwise ...)
The day part, on the ground floor is 70 sqm, and has
- An entry which runs through the house and leads to the garden
- A living room with fireplace, stereo and TV (but you're not coming to Nantes to watch TV, I'm wrong ...?)
- A fully equipped kitchen, brand new
- A dining room with a (very) large table. You can eat at 12 without problems ... and even there making great table tennis matches! Actually, It IS a ping-pong table...
- A laundry room and a toilet.
On the first floor are the bedrooms of our children: the large room of Simon (18 sqm), with its private terrace, and on the other side the double room Marius (16 + 12 sqm). And a bathroom (walk-in shower + toilet).
On the second floor, the parents' room (18 sqm) and the guest bedroom (16 sqm) - which Sebastian uses as his office - and a second bathroom (walk-in shower + toilet).
We have furnished the house with care, mixing antiques and more contemporary inspirations.
The description indicates a capacity of 9 people. This is the sleeping "comfort" capacity, that is to say, each has a normal bed, comfortable, with duvets and pillows. But there are other possible sleeping: sofa in a room on the first floor can be transformed into a sofa bed, which can comfortably accommodate one person, two if they are very romantic. The benches of the lounge transform into bed before the fire, a little stiff I agree, but that's part of the "firewood" atmosphere... (Perfect for naps!). And then there are also 4 single mattresses (80 x 190) that can be installed everywhere, the rooms are large. In short, if you are 4 couples, for example you can install your children with you in every room without stepping on them... Or make a dormitory in the double bedroom
Internet access is unlimited. If you are anti-wifi, there are just wired access throughout the house.
The south facing garden, 100 atmosphere, has no vis-à-vis. The countryside in the city... There are garden chairs, umbrellas and awnings, and a jet of water. Because yes, it can get hot in Nantes!
And finally there are also two outbuildings: a workshop and a storage room. You can borrow bicycles, skates, scooters, if we have not taken them, of course ...
If you have young children, they will also find a wide collection of Duplo, Lego and board games.
What your guests will love about your neighborhood
The house is ideally situated in Nantes, in the Sainte-Anne / Jean-Mace district, a young family neighborhood, very nice, both calm and dynamic. It retained a friendly atmosphere, with its shops, its schools, its parks. It overlooks Nantes in the west, just over the Loire. In short, this is a perfect mixture between the swarming of the city (what is called 'hyper-center' is 10 minutes by bus) and the cocoon of a village.
The bus to the center is 150 meters from the house, tram 10 minutes on foot. Access to major highways for Brittany or Paris is 5 minutes by car. The airport is 15 minutes by car and train station 20 minutes by tram.
And the first beaches (Pornic) 40 minutes by car!
Parking is free on the street outside the house - but not everywhere in Nantes. It is better to travel by bicycle or public transport, or on foot if you prefer!
