A small paradise: removed from the world, it’s a place to simply be happy
Hi, we are a retired couple, former teachers and live in a village about 14 kms from the centre of Luebeck. Luebeck is a medieval town, a world cultural heritage site, once centre of the Hanseatic League and full of gothic churches and townhouses in the centre. Our spacious bungalow style house is situated in a beautiful garden, with a little pond and lots of flowers. The lounge is furnished with 19th century mahogany furniture and has a combined vintage snooker and dining table. 2 open verandas are perfect for relaxing in the sun. The attic studio is a little 1950s museum...Driving distance to Luebeck is 20 minutes, to Hamburg less than an hour, and 2:45 hours to Berlin. The village is in the midst of beautiful walking and cycling tracks and close to 3 lakes ideal for swimming. Our house is equipped with all modern amenities and would sleep 4 persons in 2 bedrooms + the attic studio. 2 or more bikes would be supplied. Due to the character of the furnishing it would not be suitable to small children under approx. 10 years of age.
