What you will love about this home
First, you need to know that our house isn't big. It is just 50 squar meters, with nice place to sit outside, but it is definitely not suit for big or spoiled families. We are couple with 3 little girls and doing just fine in this house, so it is up to you mostly.
Our home located in the middle of a community village, called Kibbutz Ein Gev, which located in northern Israel, on the shores of lake Kinneret ("Sea of Galilee"). Our house is very close to the water, about 20 meters from the shore.
The Kibbutz is one of a kind social village community, where it used to share everything among its members, which have lead to some very interesting, calm loose and liberated way of life. The Kibbutz is reach with endless green grass fields the kids love to run and discharge energy. In the summer, the main attraction is the beautiful lake where kids and yourself could spend hours over hours in the sweet cold water.
Another thing the Kibbutz has is a community dining room, where food is served for lunch (in Fridays lunch and supper). The dining room saves you money, cooking and dishing time.
Kibbutz Ein Gev is one of the most popular tourists attractions around the Sea of Galilee and have its famous fish restaurant, sailings over the sea of galilee that leaves from Ein Gev's harbour, and wood carpentry for kids where they can play and create. (Google for Ein Gev) .
If you love history or archaeology, you will find a lot of interest in the many sites around the Kibbutz, like Susita (The Hippos), Gamla, Kursi and more. If you are Christian you will surely would be happy to know there are many sites related to Jesus path very around the Sea of Galilee, such as the Yardenit Baptismal Site on the jordan river (12 minutes drive), or Capernahum (20 minutes drive) and more.
There is a lot to do around here, we are in the middle of the nature, and 10 minutes drive from the convenient local marketplace.
