Our apartment lies in the center of Praiano, the heart of Amalficoast, midway between Amalfi and Positano, the mountains "Monte Lattari" in the back, the Gulf of Salerno in front. It is located on the 3rd and last floor of a more-family-house build by terraces, typical for Amalficoast. There are two doublebedrooms (one doublebed can become two single-beds), livingroom, kitchen and bathroom. Babycampingcot is available by request.
Large sunterrace (35m2) with seeview, view to Positano and peninsula of Sorrento with Capri on horizon.
Next to the bus-stop, all kinds of shops for selfcatering, bars and restaurants.
What you will love in the neighborhood
From Praiano it is possible to organise excursions to Capri, Pompeii, Vesuvio, Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento, Ravello, Grotta Smeraldo (emerald cave) and much more.
At 2km distance of the apartment you find the most famous discotheque/night-club of the Amalficoast "Africana" situated in a natural cave.
3 beaches, a rocky one and other 2 beaches where you can rent a sun-umbrella and deckchairs, you find bars and restaurants, boat- and canoa-hire, watertaxi. In high season there are departures for Capri and "I Galli" islands. At the beach "La Praia" you can practice windsurf or scubadiving.
In town you can rent a scooter and drive along the Amalficoast to stop at every place you like to admire the breathtaking panorama.
Praiano is the ideal place to start excursions in the mountains along the god-path (Sentiero degli Dei) where you can walk in contact with pure nature and admire the view from up the mountains.
Interesting to visit on the Amalficoast are the Emerald Grotto (Grotta dello Smeraldo), the villages Positano with its many boutiques with Positano-fashion, Amalfi with his cathedral Duomo S. Andrea and the Paper Museum, Ravello with its villas and Vietri sul Mare with his ceramic-factory,
Weekly markets you can visit every wednesday morning in Amalfi and every friday morning in Maiori (except august).
In the surrounding are accessible by public transport (or car), the island of Capri, the archaeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii, Vesuvius, the temples of Paestum and Sorrento.
