What you will love about this home

Our house is indipendent, in the very centre of Ferrara, within the Rinascimental Walls.
This house has been newly restored and now has a "design" appearance. On the floor we have a wide entrance with garage, a rather big open space kitchen, a small 25 square meter garden and a dining room with sofa (bed), LED television, media station, WII and stereo system. Close to it a small bathroom with shower.
On the first floor we have 1 large bedroom with LCD wall TV, the small bedroom for 2 children and another bathroom, with bathtube.
On the upper floor a loft with computer and a very small but nice terrace. Almost all the floors are covered by natural parquet.
The centre of Ferrara is beautiful and small, there's no need to drive by car because everything is very close. Of course we can supply bikes.
the house is 10 minutes walk from the cathedral and 3 minutes walk from the Schifanoia Palace.

What you will love in the neighborhood

Ferrara is a World Heritage small city in a very strategical position: from here you can easily visit Bologna (30 minutes by train), Florence (90 minutes), Padua (35 minutes) and Venice (60 minutes). You won't need to change train and central stations are in the very centre of these towns. By car you can easily reach Verona (the town of Giulietta and Romeo) in 60 minutes, Ravenna (the town where Dante was buried) in 45 minutes and the sea resorts of the Lidi Ferraresi (40 minutes). Ferrara is still surrounded by more than 9 kilometres of ancient walls, mainly built in the 15th and 16th centuries; together with those of Lucca, they are the best preserved Renaissance walls in Italy. Here you can enjoy great monuments, like the Estense Castle, the Cathedral, the Romei House, the Schifanoia Palace, the Diamanti Palace and many others. In Ferrara there are a lot of shops, gourmet restaurants and wine-bars (including the oldest one in Europe), events, art and culture exhibitions, open air concerts in historical areas during the summer. The most important one is the Buskers Festival, a parade of the best street musicians in the world, that calls 800.000 people during a week to watch the concerts performed by 700 artists coming from 30 different countries of all continents. It is held the last week of August. Very interesting are also The Palio of St. George, a typical medieval festival held every last Sunday of May, and the ten-day-long Ferrara Balloons Festival, the biggest celebration of balloons in Italy and one of the largest in Europe, which is held in September and is having Ferrara become the Italian capital of hot air balloons.

The food and the wine are excellent!
