Sea and various beaches under the house and in the immediate vicinity. Typical fishing village, St. Peter's Basilica and the castle dated 1100-1200
ideal starting point to visit the Bay of Levante: ferries to the famous 'Cinque Terre'='Five Lands' and Portofino leave from the harbor every hour. Genoa less than an hour away.
Products: Pesto alla Genovese and oil in the area, quaint shops, excellent restaurants ...
-Portovenere is on the promontory you can reach it only by car or boat (no train). Five minutes by foot from my flat and you reach the port where you can take the ferry to the 5 terre./Portofino (GE).
I would suggest to take the ferry that takes you to the 5 terre from Portovenere and you can go down to every station as with a bus. Or you can choose to go with ferry and to return by train, if after 18.00h in the evening (the train is of course cheaper). La Spezia is connected to Portovenere by bus/ferry.
