Description

Mary has described his/her home in English.

What you will love about this home

The house is only a year old and with adobe and local wood beam construction, solar electricity, and 400 plus recycled bottles in the construction is it unique and comfortable. Unlike most Mexican "cabins" it is open, mostly glass on the south side and has 18 ft ceilings. The open concept with full corner glass windows overlooking the mountains has twin beds allowing viewing the moon and stars from your bed. The terrace is big enough for a large party or a hammock for one. Floors are acid stained polished concrete, kitchen is fully equipped with a big center island and lots of natural light.

What you will love in the neighborhood

It's unique location overlooking forested mountains and the fjord like lake of Corrinchis invariably draws you to my large open terrace with birds circling below. The pines next to the house fill with fireflies in the rainy season. It is only 10 minutes from Mascota, Jalisco, a Pueblo Magico with many unusual and wonderful mountain villages and paths to explore. Horses are still a way of life and the main pilgrimage route to Talpa passes close by. Quiet, only my 80 year old neighbor who comes once a day to milk his cows in sight. If you're a birdwatcher, you will never tire of the endless varieties of migrating birds. The climate is near perfect, around 80 in the day and 60 at night.
