A small paradise: removed from the world, it’s a place to simply be happy
Benalmádena is made up of three different parts – in the hills is Benalmádena Pueblo, a beautiful Andalucian village with narrow streets of whitewashed houses with flowers covering the balconies. Closer to the coast is Arroyo de la Miel (stream of honey), a small but modern and fashionable town of shops and businesses popular with tourists; there is an ice rink, supermarkets and with the cable car it is possible to climb to the mount Calamorro and to enjoy nice views of the sea but, if the day is clear, it can make out the coast of Africa, Gibraltar and Ceuta in the distance.
But along the coast, Benalmádena Costa with a 9 km long beach and 2 km long promenade you can enjoy and taste the typical “pescadito frito” (fried fish).
One of the highlights of Benalmádena-Costa is the beautiful marina (Puerto) with 1000 moorings, It has a shopping centre, shops, bars and restaurants and also a shipyard, sailing school, diving school, nautical school, and a Sea Life Centre.
