What you will love about this home

The apartment is in a good location, quiet and with easy acces to public transportation (train and bus). It has 170 square meters, including a balcony with an ample view, and an inner patio. It is on the first floor and is also very light and airy. The eat-in kitchen is big and fully equipped. There is a washmachine and plenty of space for outdoor and indoor drying. The living room is large, comfortable and with a good collection of unique art works (mainly Venezuelan naif painters). The two bedrooms are large, with double beds, closet and armoire. There are three complete bathrooms, one of them with a tub. There is a music studio with an upright piano, sound equipment and a library. There is also another studio with a writing desk and library.

The building itself is a fairly decent construction from the sixties, addressed to Spanish middle class population, and erected before concern with architectural design was a priority. It is a solid construction, well maintained, with generous and spacious apartments. It has elevator. As we dislike renovation work and noise, the original design of the apartment has been kept intact. The constructor lives in the building, which is a good sign.

What you will love in the neighborhood

The neighborhood is a residential area of buildings and houses, very quiet. The main public library of Tenerife and a great big park, La Granja, are two minutes from the apartment. Good supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and all types of stores can be found in the area. It is well served by public transportation, and even at walking distance to many of the most interesting places and promenades of the city.

Additional information

Coming to Santa Cruz, the capital of the province, is a good way for getting to know regular life in Tenerife, very different from the ordinary experience in tourist resorts in the South of the island. You can enjoy a beautiful and lively city with all its cultural and leisure resources, including also the wonderful beaches close to it used mostly by local residents. You will be close to the second largest city, La Laguna, a World Heritage Site worth spendending some time in it. By car or public transportation you can easily reach atractive destinations like El Teide in about one hour, and La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz in half an hour.
