A small paradise: removed from the world, it’s a place to simply be happy
Our neighbourhood is select, quiet, picturesque and to the rear of the 9 hole Don Cayo Golf Course, Altea. We have a swimming pool set in a lush tropical garden which is entirely private and not overlooked by neighbours. Our friends call it El Paradiso.
Our extremely large balcony overlooks the sea, has a dining table and chairs for 6 people and comfortable seating to relax and enjoy the stunning views. The village of Altea la Vella is a stone's throw away with numerous bars, restaurants, supermarket and other shops for necessities. The town of Altea is a 5 minute drive away. As well as a modern, cosmopolitan seafront with innumerable bars, restaurants and shops Altea has an amazing Old Town. Many decades ago it was a thriving fishing village and although Altea still has a busy fishing industry this old hillside town has been preserved and enhanced to offer haute cuisine restaurants, art galleries and boutiques of an international standard. The views from the Town Square are truly breathtaking as is the ancient Cathedral which is lovingly tended and maintained. It features beautiful marble altars, marble walls and floors. It is an absolute must to visit.
I could extol the virtues of 'El Paradiso' endlessly but I am sure anyone who is interested in this particular area of Spain will research it for themselves via the internet.
