What you will love about this home

Our modern suburban Napa home is a split level, 3 bedroom, 3 bath home, with two of the bedrooms and bathrooms on the uppermost level, along with a den. The kitchen, dining room and living rooms are on the middle level, and the family room, and another bedroom and bathroom are on the lowest level, along with the laundry room, and attached 2 car garage. The residential street is quite, on the outskirts of town, only 3 miles from the city center.

What you will love in the neighborhood

The Napa valley is a famous wine-producing region, noted for its exceptional climate, beauty and accessibility to other attractions in California. There are several state parks nearby with hiking trails among the coastal redwood trees. More than 200 wineries are found in the valley, and most offer tasting and tours. The little town of Calistoga is found at the north end of the valley. Here you can see a geyser, and take baths (including mud baths) in hot mineral springs. The town of Napa has a population of about 80,000. The Napa Valley is easily explored with bicycles (we have two available) or by car. The Wine Train offers fine dining and a limited tour of the area. You'll find a canoe hanging in the garage, if you want to float the Russian River, or some of the Napa River! Using our five passenger automatic Toyota 4Runner, you can easily tour the northern California redwoods, and rugged Pacific Coast, as well as the charming towns of Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Sausalito, and Bodega. San Francisco (known for its cable cars, its hills, its movie locations, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, and Fisherman’s wharf) is only an hour’s drive away, as is most of the Bay Area. Sacramento, with its historic Old Town (restored to its gold rush days), museums, riverboats, and state Capitol, is an hour and a quarter drive. Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, the Monterey Peninsula, the Big Sur coast, and most of northern California are reached by car in three to five hours, and make for great overnight trips. Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas are a full day’s drive, and are often visited by our home exchangers.
