A small paradise: removed from the world, it’s a place to simply be happy
Key Biscayne is 15 minutes away from downtown Miami, 30 minutes from the Miami International Airport and 45 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Even though it is so very close to the "mainland"...it is another world. Key Biscayne is an upscale, cosmopolitan self governing Village with a great deal to offer to the visitor. If you are looking for a vacation with ready made meals ( take out or delivered) there are plenty of restaurants catering to all tastes and needs. The Winn Dixie supermarket offers anything from sushi to salads and meats ready made and freshly prepared. If you prefer to eat out, Key Biscayne has over 25 restaurants. Step outside my place and just walk to one of five small shopping areas or rent a golf cart to move around during your stay. If you like to dine 5 forks, you can visit our five star Ritz Carlton Hotel next door to my place and sit by the ocean while you sip your favorite drink and enjoy their a la carte menus. There is another gourmet supermarket, The Golden Hog which sells ready made delicious gourmet food by the pound. It is located next to the Donut Gallery where traditional breakfasts (but no donuts!!) are served. Your palate will be a happy camper by the time you depart.
The apartment is close to a number of tourist attractions such as nearby Bill Baggs State Park with its iconic light house and famous beach where the sea turtles come to shore to lay their eggs. Crandon Park the home of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world is a few minutes driving distance. You are also close (5 minutes) to Rickenbacker Causeway beach (parasailing, sailing) and Rickenbacker Marina (fishing and snorkeling in Key Biscayne National Park). Another two nearby (3 minutes) Key Biscayne attractions are: golf at The Links which is considered one of the best public golf courses in the U.S. and tennis at the Crandon Park Tennis Center where the Sony Ericsson tournament is played. Aside from what Key Biscayne has to offer, the Miami area offers all types of tourist attractions ranging from world class museums to the Everglades National Park.
