Description

What you will love about this home

Sandra and I are an older couple and hope to exchange with a similar couple that will enjoy our garden and being in Kona. Our neighborhood is truly beautiful. Across the street our neighbors groom their monkeypod tree into a towering living sculpture.

What you will love in the neighborhood

Our home is 700 feet above the Kona coastline with a panoramic view. We are ten minutes away from several beaches good for swimming and snorkeling. The Kailua Kona village is great for shopping and restaurants. We have a beautiful tropical garden, two comfortable beds and a wonderful lanai.

Additional information

The only thing we ask of our house exchangers is that you water our garden in the morning. It is so great to wake up at Casa Ono with the birds singing outside the window. Gaze down at the coastline while having your morning coffee and then go out to the garden and water for fifteen minutes. We have beautiful and fragrant trees and shrubs, including pua keni keni, tree ferns, an orange and hibiscus, a variety of ginger and heliconia. You can say good morning to the plants and Ganesha, who sits on the wall by the pink ginger. With luck, you will be able to harvest a mango or an avocado and watch it ripen. Of course, if it rains the day before you don't need to water. The rain here isn't common, but when it pours it is truly magnificent. Aloha nui loa!
