Description

What you will love about this home

My small pied-a-terre is located on East 66th Street in Manhattan, sunny, safe, central and within walking distance of Midtown, in a 1940's building, with no lift,on the 5th floor -- great heart exercise! It's a little oasis in the heart of the city and the fashionable neighborhood offers many museums, restaurants, shops, stores,(near Bloomingdale's) and, of course, NYC is a hub to the eastern seacoast cities -- Washington, DC,, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlantic City (these can be done in a day trip), and then trains, planes, buses to the rest of the USA... The Big Apple is my kinda' town!

What you will love in the neighborhood

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim, The Whitney, and much else, right on the Upper East Side

Madison Avenue is a shopper's mecca, including bargain-filled consignment shops

The NYC Zoo is up my street at Central Park -- great for an afternoon in the Park, jogging, lunch at The Boathouse

Additional information

The crosstown bus to Lincoln Center and all its ART venues is around the corner at 67th Street. The Subway on 68th Street & Lexington Avenue stops at Hunter College. Here the No. 6 line goes directly to Midtown: 59th Street, 42nd Street (United Nations), 34th Street (Empire State Building), 14th Street (Union Square), Little Italy, Soho, Chinatown, City Hall, Wall Street, World Trade Center Memorial, Battery Park and the Statue of Liberty!! ... The F Train at 63rd & Lex in the neighborhood goes to Metro Tech stop for the A train to NYC beaches. Fun in the sun!
