Additional information
Our property is located in Tumalo, a small and rural community in Central Oregon. We call our property "GADSHILL FARM", which was named after our great grandfather’s (George Andrew Dunning) 19th century farm in southeastern Pennsylvania. We were very fortunate to inherit the "GADSHILL FARM" sign, made by GAD’s son. Our nearly 20 acre property is ideally situated. It is far enough to be "out in the country", yet close enough in to get to all the places you want to go. We’re about 6 miles from Redmond, 8 miles from Bend and about 20 miles from Sisters. The closest store/coffee shop is in Tumalo, about 5-miles away. We’re about 45-minutes from Mt Bachelor ski resort, about 1-hr from HooDoo and about 30-minutes from cross country ski/hiking trails. Lastly, we’re about 1 mile from the infamous Peterson Rock Garden, a roadside architecture and geologic attraction, built by Rasmus Petersen in the 1930’s. The Peterson Rock Garden was recently listed as one of the "Most Endangered Places" on the Historic Preservation League of Oregon’s top ten list. The roads around us are quite rural, making it ideal for bicycling.
