GuesttoGuest is the global leader in the home exchanges between nearly 270,000 homes in 187 countries. Signing up is free and allows you to stay everywhere in the world for free. With home exchanges, you save money on your dream vacations. You will have the chance to share a more authentic experience while discovering the culture of your hosts or while receiving guests at your home!
Home exchange can be non-reciprocal thanks to our GuestPoints system; you earn GuestPoints by hosting, and you spend them by staying nights at another member's home. Your host earns points from your stay and can then use them to go elsewhere.
Home exchange can be reciprocal: you stay at the home of the same person who comes to yours. You can even exchange on different dates for different lengths of time. It's flexible and easy to arrange with another member.
A deposit is used to cover accidental damages incurred during an exchange and is otherwise returned at the end of the stay.

Messages the hosts and discuss whether you want to do a non-reciprocal or reciprocal exchange. Clarify basic demands such as the dates of your stay (or of both parties stays), and the number of guests sleeping overnight for your stay.
As the guest, you will complete the details for: 1) the number of guests in your party and 2) the dates of your stay. In a reciprocal exchange, both parties will complete this information for their respective stay.
In the next part, your host will complete the details for: 1) the cost of GuestPoints per night and 2) the cost of the monetary deposit amount* and your host will also indicate 3) whether Home & cancellation insurance is required. In a reciprocal exchange, both parties will complete this information for the stay they are hosting.
A 3.5% commission is debited from the deposit to cover GuesttoGuest's services. The deposit serves only as an authorisation to charge the deposit amount if issues arise during or after the exchange. The remainder of the deposit is returned if no issue arises during or after the exchange.
Once all details are agreed upon, your host will pre-approve the exchange. In a reciprocal exchange, either party can pre-approve the exchange.
As the guest, you will choose the type of Home & cancellation insurance you would like to purchase for your stay (if your host has indicated Home & cancellation insurance is required). You can also purchase optional Travel insurance for your stay. In a reciprocal exchange, both parties will complete this step for their respective stay.
In a non-reciprocal exchange, you as the guest will select "Finalize" and confirm the exchange. In a reciprocal exchange, both parties need to select "Finalize" and confirm the exchange. GuestPoints are immediately transferred upon Finalization.
Welcome your guests in a clean and comfortable environment. You should clean your home and make a little space for your guests to store their belongings and feel more at ease.
Let your guests know the wifi code, the alarm code and if it is necessary to feed your pets.
Prepare an instructional guide containing all of the house rules and other general information: where to throw out the garbage, how to turn on the heat, rules on smoking, etc. You can download the app Happy Guest to share your exchange guide.
Your guests would really like to know what things there are to see and do in your neighborhood. Give them restaurant suggestions and let them know about tourist attractions in the area.
Remember to leave a contact list for your guests. You should include your number and the number of a nearby friend.
It is always nice to leave a small welcoming present for your guest. It could be a local culinary specialty or a small souvenir. They will love the surprise!
